I mainly go in for a birthday cake here, cannot find the printed cakes anywhere else now.Out of 5 cakes in the past years, 3 have been wrong in a row. I'm not keen on vanilla flavour (unless coated with jam to the disguise the vanilla taste), I really cannot eat chocolate and jam together (love chocolate though!!!!).Safe bet l order chocolate with NO jam. (Simple). They write it down.46 a cake should be perfect!5 cakes:2x right order (chocolate with no jam)2x chocolate WITH jam1x vanilla no jamI have to take it back each time, missing the birthday and being left with a huge cake the following day when everyone has gone home. 3/4 need to throw away. To top it off, I have to go and buy a cheap cake for the birthday on the day. Went for a late meal out last night. Lovely, everyone will come back for cake, so no point ordering pudding with the meal.Sliced the cake and found it to be Vanilla without jam. This time no shops open, so cannot run out and buy a cheap cake.I really DO NOT recommend buying a cake here if you need a particular cake for that particular day. 60% chance being wrong. This review is based on ordering a birthday cake only. Staff are friendly enough.EDIT:Trying to get money back is a big issue. They will simply NOT. Their return policy the staff politely show you explains that once inspected, you show you are happy with it. The only thing is that you can't see beyond the icing! I tried pointing this out but obviously the customer is wrong here also.A true return policy is that once an order placed is wrong, you ARE entitled for a FULL refund as it is a breach of a contract, therefore terminated. Even if you have a look at the cake and the icing is right, but later to find the inside is wrong. A quick call to trading standards confirmed that. After being texted a phone number by staff to call the boss (not the other way around) I phoned him to try push the fact that I'm not happy, and try hard to get my money back. I found that the phone gets put down on you as it is a "waste of his time, as the conversation is going around and around". Not a waste of the customers time, his time!He even began saying that people have been complaining that they have orders wrong to get free cakes, or get money off, leaving me feel that he's implying that I'm doing the same.... ok, if he ever reads this review, please feel free to put the money into a charity box as I really DO NOT care about the money, it is the fact that it is just all wrong!During the conversation about the fact its always wrong, and with him admitted they have had problems with the orders, being told "maybe I'm putting too much trust in the bakery" (quote!!!!!!!!!!), I told him "it's not a themed cake, just chocolate with no jam!".I left it by saying that I'm going to trading standards to follow up on this case, basically just being told, "crack on mate!" and the phone being hung up on me again...Well, the bakery shop in Johnson sells so much cheaper and less sickly cakes, as I had one taste yesterday. All the family will go there from now on. The pasties are too die for!!! So, a happy outcome in the end!
